Hey all!
So if you haven’t heard about the hurricane rockin the east coast than I’m here to tell you it is indeed. Hurricane sandy is ripping up trees and making lots of wind up in here and causing all sorts of power to go out. I spent the better part o yesterday sitting in the dark with a hot toddy and some puzzles. Not to much to do and this whole ordeal has made me intimately aware of how reliant I am on technology ! but although I was a bit bored once it grew dark outside and plunged us all into darkness, it was nice to sit together with nothing to do but chat, sip a hot spiced whiskey drink and read a book by candlelight.

Here are some pictures I snapped at the hot toddy table while it was still light out! (And was yes, pretty early on in the day don’t hate)

Hot toddy recipe:
(Serves two)
8 ounces of water
5 ounces of whiskey
3 tablespoons of honey
6 slices of apple
3 orange wedges
1 cinnamon stick
Pinch of ground nutmeg

Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan on the stovetop and heat on low. Just as it reaches a boil remove and sip slowly, enjoy ya’ll!!

Stay safe and thanks for checking in!
